Phone Security & Cleaner Privacy Statement

Effective date: October 27, 2026
Last updated: October 27, 2026
App and bundle ID: Phone Security & Cleaner (ai.mkit.phonesecuritycleaner)

Phone Security & Cleaner (the “App”) is provided by 45byte ptd ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Statement explains how information is handled when you use the App on an iPhone or iPad.

The App does not require an in-app account and does not operate a first-party server for the features described in this statement. Photo and video grouping, device information, speaker sound, and most app preferences are handled on your device. We do not include advertising, analytics, attribution, or cross-app tracking SDKs.

This does not mean that no information ever leaves your device. When you choose an online feature, your device sends the network information needed to Apple, the named service provider, or a website you choose to visit. Those services process information under their own privacy policies.

1. Information handled by each feature

Feature Information involved Where it is processed and why Retention and your control
Photo and video review Photos permission; local media identifiers; media type; pixel dimensions; duration; creation date; Favorite status; thumbnails; your review selections On your device to group and display media. Apple Photos or iCloud may download media or a preview to the device. The developer does not receive your library through a first-party server. Review data and thumbnails are held for the current app session. Control Photos access in Settings. Apple Photos and iCloud control their own copies, sync, and Recently Deleted retention.
Media deletion Identifiers for the items you select Apple Photos performs deletion only after you confirm through the Apple system interface. Deleted media may remain in Recently Deleted and may sync through iCloud according to your Apple settings.
Private Web The address you enter, page requests, IP address and ordinary web-request data; search words when you use search; information you enter on a website Apple WebKit loads the HTTPS website you choose. Search words are sent to DuckDuckGo. Websites, DuckDuckGo, your network provider, and related internet infrastructure receive the information necessary to respond. The developer does not receive your browsing history through a first-party server. The App uses a non-persistent WebKit data store designed not to retain website data in the App between sessions. Websites and network providers may retain information under their own policies.
Optional encrypted DNS Domain-name queries and necessary connection information After your separate action and iOS approval, the device sends DNS queries to AdGuard Public DNS to resolve or filter domains. The App does not receive DNS logs. The iOS-managed DNS configuration remains until you disable or remove it. AdGuard controls any provider-side retention under its policy.
Internet speed test IP address and standard request metadata; latency and transfer measurements; Cloudflare-derived approximate city/country, network provider, and autonomous system number (ASN) Cloudflare Speed Test receives bounded test requests so the App can calculate latency, jitter, download speed, and upload speed. Cloudflare states that it may use and share anonymized measurement information with measurement partners to maintain a shared performance database. The App uses about 7 MB of test transfer data plus protocol overhead, calculates the displayed result locally, and does not send that result to a developer server. The current result remains in memory while the App is running. Cloudflare controls provider-side handling under its Speed Test disclosure and privacy policy.
Phone information Available and total storage, battery level and state, Low Power Mode, thermal state, and connection type/status On your device to show device status. The App does not read a device serial number, advertising identifier, or public IP address for this feature. Held in memory for display; not sent to a developer server.
Speaker sound Locally generated sound, current output route, and device output-volume state On your device after you start the tool. The App does not use the microphone and does not record audio. Held only as needed to operate the tool.
App preferences Welcome-tour completion and the protection choices you select Stored locally with Apple UserDefaults so the App remembers your choices. A generic compiled WebKit blocker rule list may also be stored locally. Retained until changed, reset, or the App’s local container is removed.
Purchases and restore Product identifier, verified transaction/entitlement status, and expiry information Apple StoreKit processes product information, purchases, subscription status, and restore requests. The App reads verified entitlement status to unlock paid features. Apple manages transaction history under Apple’s policies. The developer does not receive payment-card details through the App.
Support communication Your email address, name if provided, message, and any attachment you choose to send Received only if you contact support, so we can answer, troubleshoot, protect the service, or meet legal obligations. The email service used for support may process the message. Kept only as long as reasonably needed for the support request, security, dispute, or legal record, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. You may request earlier deletion, subject to legal requirements.

2. Photos and videos

The App asks for read/write Photos access only after you start a photo or video review. You may grant limited or full access using Apple’s permission screen.

Grouping is performed on the device using media metadata. The App does not upload your photos, videos, local media identifiers, or media fingerprints to a developer server. If media is stored in iCloud, Apple may download the media or a preview to the device so the App can display it. Apple and iCloud processing are governed by your Apple settings and Apple’s privacy policy.

Nothing is selected for deletion automatically. The App submits only the items you select to Apple Photos, and Apple presents the system confirmation. Deleted items may remain recoverable in Recently Deleted for the period shown by Apple Photos.

You can change or withdraw Photos access at any time in Settings on your iPhone or iPad. The exact path can vary by iOS or iPadOS version; look under the App’s settings or Privacy & Security > Photos.

Private Web is an app-contained HTTPS browser. It uses Apple WebKit with a non-persistent website-data store. This is designed to avoid retaining website cookies and browsing data in the App between sessions, but it does not make you anonymous and does not prevent websites, search providers, network operators, or internet infrastructure from processing data.

When you enter an HTTPS address, the device connects to that website. When you enter search words instead of an address, the words are sent to DuckDuckGo. DuckDuckGo’s handling is described in the DuckDuckGo Privacy Policy.

The App’s optional content controls can hide common ad presentation areas, reduce some third-party image or raw-resource requests, or hide webpage images. They do not block every ad, tracker, or harmful page. Information you submit to a website is handled by that website, not by the developer. Review a website’s own privacy policy before submitting personal or sensitive information.

4. Optional encrypted DNS

If you separately enable DNS protection and approve the Apple system prompt, your device uses DNS-over-HTTPS with AdGuard Public DNS. This affects DNS lookups from the device, including lookups made by other apps. The developer does not receive or inspect your DNS queries.

AdGuard describes its public DNS data practices in the AdGuard DNS Privacy Policy. Its current policy states that Public AdGuard DNS does not process personal data and uses aggregated metrics plus an anonymous database of requested domains retained for 24 hours. AdGuard’s current policy controls if its practices change.

You can view the status and remove the App-created DNS configuration without a membership from Help > DNS Status & Removal. You can also review DNS in Settings on your iPhone or iPad, generally under General > VPN & Device Management > DNS. System paths may vary by OS version. Remove the DNS configuration before deleting the App; uninstalling the App is not represented as a guarantee that iOS will remove the system-managed configuration.

5. Internet speed test

The speed test sends short latency requests, a bounded download, and a bounded synthetic upload to Cloudflare’s speed-test service. The upload is generated test data, not a photo, document, or other user file. Cloudflare necessarily receives the connection’s IP address and standard request information and may derive approximate city/country, network-provider, and ASN information. Cloudflare states that it may use and share anonymized measurement information with measurement partners to maintain a shared performance database.

The App calculates the displayed result on the device. It does not display or store your public IP address and does not upload the displayed result to a developer server. Cloudflare describes provider-side collection, retention, truncation, and measurement sharing across its Speed Test disclosure and Privacy Policy.

Running the test is optional. If you do not want these requests sent to Cloudflare, do not start the speed test.

6. Device information and speaker sound

The phone-information screen reads storage, battery, power, thermal, and connection status through Apple system interfaces and displays it locally. The speaker tool generates sound locally after an explicit user action and reads the current output route and volume state. It does not request microphone permission or record sound. These tools do not send their results to a developer server.

7. Purchases and subscriptions

Apple processes subscriptions, free-trial eligibility, payment authorization, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and transaction history. The App uses StoreKit to request product information and verify whether an entitlement is active. We do not receive your payment-card number through the App.

You can restore an eligible purchase from the App. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account’s subscription settings. Apple’s handling is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and the Apple Standard EULA.

8. Advertising, analytics, tracking, and sale of data

This release does not include third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, access the advertising identifier, or track you across apps or websites for advertising.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If these practices change, we will update the App, its App Store privacy information, and this statement before the new practice begins where required by law.

The App does not create a developer account or server profile, so there is no in-app account to delete. The following controls apply:

10. Third parties and international processing

The App is designed to disclose and limit user-directed data transfers to what is needed for the selected feature. For integrated services, we review the provider’s published privacy terms and use the service only for the purpose described in this statement. We select providers whose terms offer protections appropriate to their role, and we require any provider that processes personal information on our behalf to apply safeguards at least equivalent to those described here and required by applicable law. The current providers are:

These providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their policies and applicable safeguards.

Websites you independently choose to visit are not our service providers and are not controlled by us. Their privacy practices, security, content, and retention are their responsibility.

11. Security

The App reduces first-party exposure by keeping local features on the device, using Apple’s app sandbox, using HTTPS for Private Web, and using DNS-over-HTTPS for the optional DNS configuration. Access to Photos and DNS settings is gated by Apple system approval.

No system or transmission method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of Apple services, public networks, websites, or independent service providers. Keep iOS or iPadOS current and review permissions and subscriptions regularly.

12. Children

The App is a general phone utility intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through a first-party account or backend. If you believe a child sent personal information in a support message, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

13. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our handling of personal information, and to appeal or complain to a privacy regulator. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.

Most feature data is held on your device or independently by Apple or another named provider, so we cannot retrieve or delete information we do not possess. Use the controls in Section 9, contact the relevant provider for provider-held data, or email us about support records and other information we may control. We may need enough information to verify and respond to a request, and we will respond as required by applicable law.

14. Changes to this statement

We may update this statement when the App, providers, or legal requirements change. We will change the effective date above and provide additional notice in the App or App Store when required. We will update App Store privacy answers before introducing a new collection or tracking practice where required.
