Restore your membership
- Make sure the iPhone or iPad uses the same Apple Account that made the purchase.
- Open Phone Security & Cleaner > Help > Subscription and Restore.
- Tap Restore Purchases and wait for Apple's result.
Restore does not charge you. An active weekly or annual entitlement for this app can unlock paid tools. An expired or cancelled subscription will not unlock them.
To manage or cancel a subscription, use Settings on your iPhone or iPad > your name > Subscriptions. Apple handles billing and refunds; you can also visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Photos permission and review
- Phone Security & Cleaner asks for Photos access only after you start a photo or video review.
- To change access, open Settings on your iPhone or iPad > Privacy & Security > Photos > Phone Security & Cleaner. Labels can vary by OS version.
- With limited access, use Apple's selector to add more photos, then return to the app to scan again.
- Nothing is marked for deletion automatically. Preview an item before marking it.
- Apple shows the final deletion confirmation. Removed items normally go to Recently Deleted and may synchronize with iCloud Photos.
Remove DNS protection
You do not need a membership to check or remove DNS protection.
- Open Phone Security & Cleaner > Help > DNS Status & Removal.
- Choose the removal action and approve any iOS prompt.
- If needed, open Settings on your iPhone or iPad > General > VPN & Device Management > DNS. Labels can vary by OS version.
Enabled DNS protection sends domain-name queries to AdGuard Public DNS. See the AdGuard DNS privacy policy.
Private Web does not open a page
- Private Web accepts HTTPS pages. Check that the address begins with https://.
- Words that are not an HTTPS address are treated as a DuckDuckGo search.
- A page may look incomplete when a page-resource control is on. Return to Protection settings and turn off the relevant control, then try again.
- Private Web uses a non-persistent session, so website sign-in and session data may not remain after the session ends.
Private Web does not bypass a website restriction, internet-provider block, or network outage.
Internet speed test help
- Keep Phone Security & Cleaner open while the test runs.
- If the connection changes from Wi-Fi to cellular, read the new warning before continuing.
- Low Data Mode can affect the test. The app asks for acknowledgement when that condition is detected.
- Tap Stop at any time. A stopped test does not keep running in the background.
Speaker sound safety
- Start at a comfortable volume and keep the phone away from your ear.
- Ring/Silent mode and the current audio route can affect playback.
- Stop immediately if the sound is uncomfortable or the phone behaves unexpectedly.
The sound tool does not diagnose or repair hardware and does not guarantee water, dust, or debris removal. Contact Apple or a qualified repair provider for hardware damage.
